Race night at CCC

1 year ago By Web Manager

Join us as we raise funds towards the purchase and storage of our new roller!

Clitheroe Cricket Club will be hosting a race night on Friday 3rd February (from 7pm - free entry).

The event will raise money towards the purchase and storage of a brand new top-of-the-range Poweroll County roller, for which we have received a grant of over £18,000 towards, in time for the 2017 season! This roller will benefit generations of Clitheroe Cricket Club members for years to come and, alongside our £65,000 lottery-funded renovation of the playing square (to begin in autumn 2017), should allow us to produce some of the highest quality club wickets around. However, we currently have nowhere to safely and effectively store the roller - so we are looking to build a new facility! The new storage facility will also help us with storing a larger amount of junior equipment that we are looking to purchase going forward.

We are asking individuals and businesses to kindly help support our fundraising efforts by owning (and naming!) a horse or sponsoring a race on the evening. The winning owner will also receive a bottle of Prosecco! Ownership of a horse is just £7.50 and sponsoring a race is £50. Races/horses can be purchased online here, or by a cheque made payable to 'Clitheroe Cricket Club' and sent to John Bailey, 25 Moorland Crescent, Clitheroe, BB7 4PY.

There will also be food available on the night, with Samina & Tahir serving Chicken Samosa Chaat at just £3 per portion (£1 of which they have kindly agreed to donate to our roller fund) -please 'pre-book' your food with the kitchen on arrival.

The event has been kindly sponsored by the Black Horse Freehouse & Restaurant, Clitheroe.

We hope you will all be able to join us for what should be a great night!
