What have been your highlights of your second season at the helm?
Off the field to have our first bonfire was really exciting and to see so many involved in helping with it was great. Was a real success for a first time effort, hopefully it can be even bigger and better this time round.
On the field to see the youth coming through and contributing in all four senior teams, winning our first Worsley Cup game and the 2’s winning the league.
Also seeing our junior teams perform well again and winning various leagues and cups along the way. We had 2 sides this year who were, again, up there with the best in the county.
What are you and the club up to over the winter months?
Personally I would love a break but that just ain’t going to happen. there is always something to do.
Winter nets are in place already, the development work for some of the older teens is being readied and we are looking to be ready to hit the ground running again next season.
Off the field I believe we are in line for a whole lot of new seating around the ground, possibly 2 new sightscreens and a new scoreboard. Will be good if we can also get the unsightly broken window sorted too!!! It's only been 18 months
What are you plans for next season and where would you like to see the club improve?
The plan every season has to be as successful as possible, but that would be very tough indeed. If every team can improve on what they have done this season then I think that would be success. Also if the club keeps thriving as it has done over the past five years then I think it will continue to be in a good place.
